Dr. Philbin, Dr. Reinheimer and their staff believe there is a reason they have been chosen as a “Top Orthodontist” in the region for three straight years. No, it’s not because they employ all of the latest advances, technologies and techniques modern orthodontics has to offer. No it’s not because of their beautiful, cozy, state-of-the-art office. It’s not because they are one of the top Invisalign providers in the contry. And no, it’s not because for over twenty years they have changed many lives by creating beautiful smiles for children, adolescents, and adults. “It’s because we believe the latest technology, gorgeous smiles, and a comfortable office are expected of us. Our patients expect perfection and so do we. What they don’t expect is that as soon as they walk through our doors they will be greeted, treated, and cared for as if they are part of our family,” shares Dr. Philbin and Dr. Reinheimer.
There are many new and exciting things going on at Dr. Philbin’s office. Dr. Reinheimer joined with Dr. Philbin three years ago and together, they have created a unique orthodontic environment. They are employing many new techniques that allow for a more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing orthodontic experience, which in many cases, takes less time and expense.
Some of these new techniques you may be familiar with, such as Invisalign clear and removable aligners. Others, such as Damon self-ligating braces, and Insignia, a customized 3-D imaging system that usually results in shorter treatment time and fewer maintenance visits, maybe you’re hearing about for the first time. As a family practice we treat everyone. For children, orthodontia care can begin as early as seven years of age. Usually by age seven the first permanent molars and incisors have erupted sufficiently to allow us to evaluate crossbites, crowding, and skeletal problems. When treatment is begun early, we can guide the growth of the jaw and incoming permanent teeth, preventing more serious problems down the road.
Early treatment helps to ensure a positive self-image during child’s formative years. Adolescents and adults may be the group of patients we see who experience the most dramatic psychological and emotional benefits of successful treatment. A disfigured jaw and teeth not only create physical problems but also real emotional pain. With proper orthodontic treatment, teens that have had a difficult time fitting in and feeling confident have complete shifts in their outlook on life. And now orthodontic treatment can be even more discreet with the use of Invisalign for teens! Adult patients are often surprised that orthodontics is also beneficial for them. For adults who received orthodontia care earlier in their lives and now need some fine-tuning or for those who are new to teh experience, it’s never too late. “Our oldest patient is 81 years old,” shares Dr. Philbin, “and she had been unhappy with her smile for some time. She received Invisalign treatment and her new smile made quite a difference!”
